Robert Tylisz Appliance is looking for a skilled Appliance Repair and Rebuild Technician to join our team full-time or part-time!

As an Appliance Repair and Rebuild Technician, you are a key member of the team responsible for the quality and efficient repair and rebuilding of used appliances in our LaPorte or Michigan City locations. Flexible work schedule and productivity bonuses offered. Exemplifying our code of values, you would show respect and courtesy to all customers and co-workers alike.

Responsibilities:

Repair / Rebuild home appliances/equipment in our LaPorte or Michigan City store locations
Accurately test, diagnose and repair used appliances, replacing parts as needed and preparing for sale
Provide cost estimates for repairs and coordinate the ordering of replacement parts
Update computer records to accurately reflect parts used and type of repair/rebuild service provided
Perform other related duties as needed, which may include cross-training in related positions

Qualifications:

Valid Driver's License with a clean record
Must be at least 18 years of age
The ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds on a repetitive basis, and up to 100 pounds on an occasional basis without assistance, and the physical ability to perform strenuous work under varied circumstances
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
